State Conference officially began on Saturday morning when State President Aimee C. opened the business meeting. After hearing Officer, Chairmen and Society President reports, members listened to campaign speeches and then voted for their choices.
After the business meeting, members, guests and their families had a chance to change into casual clothing for the visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to present a check for $2000.00 for the California sea otter program.
The evening brought a banquet dinner enjoyed by all.
Winners of the election were announced. Lucas B. will be installed as State President during National Convention in April in Washington, DC. His theme will be "Honor Their Sacrifices."
After the installation, members had a chance to participate in the Grand March, which opened an evening of dancing. Seniors had a separate reception.
By the 12:30 a.m. curfew, everyone was ready to call it a night!
